Per-piece rates (1 oz. or less for 1st Class, 3.3 oz. or less for Third Class). Minimum number of pieces for third class mailing is 200.

1st class letter and flat size mail weighing more than 1 oz. is subject to a 17¢ surcharge for each additional oz. |

Non Standard 1st class letters and flats weighing 1 oz. or less are subject to a 5.8¢ surcharge for presort rates and a 17¢ surcharge for non-presort rates. |
| Note 3: |
Non-machinable letters are subject to a nonmachinable surcharge of 4.2¢ for regular rates and 2.1¢ for non-profit rates. |
| Note 4: |
The residual shape surcharge of 24.2¢ per piece applies to items that are prepared as a parcel or are not letter-size or flat-size. |
| Note 5: |
Machinable parcels for which the residual shape surcharge is paid may be eligable for the barcoded discount of 3¢ per piece (see postal regulation E630). |
